Check out Uber(cab) if you have a chance, www.uber.com. They do what we do – for people who ride cabs. They did a great blog post about the cost of waiting for a cab, using math. If you want the executive summary, here it is: on weekend nights, you’ll save 54 minutes using Uber instead of a regular taxi service. That 54 minutes saved will cost you $12 more with Uber, but with a median income of $44,373 in San Francisco, 54 minutes of your time is worth $19.20. If you earn $90K, 54 minutes is worth $38, etc…
On a weekend night in San Francisco, a 54 minute wait is not unusual at many restaurants. TimeView will save you that time, for only $3. If you think Uber is a good value, than TimeView must be a great value! Thanks for the math Uber. – Brad
